Just Me

WELCOME
Hi,
Welcome to "Tidbits from a Broad." My name is Kim and I am the broad.
I hope that you will enjoy my blog and that you will share "Tidbits" of your life! I would love to hear about your trials and tribulations of being a parent and/or working woman. Please share your hopes, your dreams, your sorrows, and most of all....your happiness!
I design private aircraft but my hobbies are cooking, photography, and scrapbooking. I love reading and I also enjoy the thrill of trying to make little video clips! Let me know if any of you share the same hobbies.
Our family has a history of heart disease and more recently breast cancer...so feel free to share those subjects as well. We lost our sweet Father to heart disease December 29, 2006 and my youngest sister is a 8 year breast cancer survivor...I recently had a prophylactic mastectomy to prevent breast cancer. I travel to unusual places and have tons of stories about the unusual people I've met...
Join me and share the journey! You can also find me as a Co-Admin. of the Facebook site called, Prophylactic Mastectomy and the Co-Founder of the My Destiny Foundation!
Look forward to hearing from you.
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Kim

The Weird, the Wonderful, the News according to Kim
Well, let's see...
THE WEIRD
I "broke" my daughter's new puppy dog, Penny Pearl Gump. I took a quick turn to the left on the "Mule" (utility vehicle) and Penny took a right. She tumbled out and broke her leg in three (THREE) places : ( $500.00 and a LOT of guilt later.... she is much better; well... everything except her underbite! This precious puppy has the worst underbite in the entire world. When she falls asleep... I play with her teeth! Too funny. Check this out!
More weirdness... This is an actual photo of a big buck that tried to jump a fence down the street from our house in AR. Poor guy didn't make it. Ralph took this photo with his iPhone! Ralph drug me there in my pajamas to see this but someone cut it down by the time we got there. Poor guy!
Last but not least... this entry may win the "Weird thing of the Day Award"! A local fisherman decided he needed a custom bimini top for his "John boat"! He made this out of PVC pipe, a tarp, and tie wraps!
THE WONDERFUL
Enjoying friends and family at a local University of Arkansas Razorback Game! We won!!!! Here are a few snapshots of my daughter and son-in-law's tailgate party! What fun...with one exception. It was sooooo hot that I went in the women's room and stripped down to my undies in the stall : (
Whitney's little "Piggy" serving tower! Too cute!
Whitney, Me and Mary (Whitney and Mary are my daughters)
My sister Kelly with out long lost "adopted" little sister, Lisa! Now...she's all grown up with babes of her own! We've missed you Lisa.
What could be more wonderful than treating hosting family for a holiday? Well.... I'll tell you! Hosting a group of International Students from the U of A would be one way! My cousin Hugh, his wife Tamara and their kids Alix Ann and Harrison came out for the weekend. Harrison brought a group of his International friends to spend the day on the water learning to wake board. I know for sure that one of them was from Jordan and anther from Saudi. I'm not certain about the others. At any rate, most of them had never enjoyed a campfire or the chocolatey yummy goodness of a s'more! They had a wonderful time and as one of them said when asked if he had ever had a s'more, "Yes but I would like to try another!" : ) Here's a pic of them enjoying the campfire and a s'more!
Now.... the news... : (
400 BILLION being charged to our grandchildren. 106 degrees outside this summer... earthquakes, flooding, fires.... Better get on your knees folks!
Signing out! Tah Tah for Now! Love, Kim

The drive thru zoo and Silver Dollar City with my three little giggly nieces!
We MISS them already : (
Aunt Cindy helps the girls load their nerf balls!
Sarah takes aim!
Ella (foreground) and Carli
We can't get up!!!!!!
OK...maybe this is the cutest thing ever!
This little video clip is where Ella and I decided to go over and check out the monkey cages. This chimpanzee was at the very end. There was a sign that showed two names, a boy and a girl. Ella and I asked the monkey which one he/she was? The monkey immediately gave us "the raspberry"! We ran to get the others and the voices you hear are all of us trying to get he/she to keep doing it! It was toooooooo funny!
Zebra following us while Ella feeds him! We are not supposed to be feeding the animals or have the windows down. Aunt Kimmi is a very bad influence but if there's one thing I've learned in life it is to break a few rules! Life is a lot more fun that way!!!!!!!
